Prague, Texas

I realized a moment ago, as I was writing for an hour without critical thinking or editing– an exercise I was doing from the book “Writing Down the Bones” by Natalie Goldberg–that I am obsessed with Prague. Or at least that I think about it and talk about wanting to go back there quite often. I mentioned it again this weekend, and then I wrote about it just now during that exercise. I also wrote about creating Prague here in Texas. I can do that! First, research! What do I need to do to create this vision, this feeling of Western Europe, and the crisp, clean air and pure beauty of Prague? It’s about to be so hot that you can fry an egg on the sidewalk, so probably the faster I get this idea going, the better! Off I go! See you next in Prague, Texas…

Until then, be well, be happy, and take good care of yourself,

Pumpkin Pie Rising

, , , , ,

So…first post and I’m writing about Pumpkin Pie. That should tell you a lot about me and my priorities. So, how ’bout it, Punkin?

Thanksgiving has just passed and, despite the fact that I have eaten tons of it already, all I can think about today is if I have enough time to bake a couple more pumpkin pies, and eat some before we have friends over tonight (when I will invariably eat some more.). I found this off-the-charts incredible! recipe on PaleOMG for “Eggnog Pumpkin Pie with Gingerbread Crust”. Hello! I eat Paleo-style ’cause I have to. But as it turns out, I really like it, and now I’m becoming a pretty decent cook. And…um…Okay, F*#k it, I’m makin’ pie…

Love to ya’ll.
